Hi peeps,
At the mo I drive a citroen xsara piccasso, lovely car easy to drive loadsa a room for when i was mobile, but now im only doing nails on a part time basis i fancy something a wee bit more...well me!!
Im thinking of buying a rather lurvely VW Beetle in gloss black with cream leather interior, I think its beautifull, hubbies coming round to liking them now hes driven one, 2ltr sports. So now need your opinions, i guess im bit nervous as im going from something quite big to something completely impractical just for the hell of it!!!! (but why not eh!! ) Took kids out in it last night when we test drove it and they adore it theyve wanted me to get one for ages. Its a cracking price really, low miles 2 yrs old, not a scratch on it.

SO YOUR OPINION LOVE EM OR HATE EM?,, COOL OR CHEESY?

P.s Is the new Beetle not the classic

Wasn't so keen, on the new shape......I just loved the old one!!!......but it has grown on me....I saw one in Glasgow weeks ago...a cream/white one and it had a fab logo done in beige and tan colours on the side...URBAN ANGEL...with a logo like the saint ,it was for a beauty salon in Renfrew....I mean this was weeks ago and I really remember every detail about this car....What a fab ad.....a memorable car with a classy ad on the side....Could be ideal for you as wel las will definitely get noticed logo or no logo!

My tutor at NSI has a cream one with her salon name and number all over it and it looks really cool!

My fave colour has to black or red!

I say they are fab! I particularly love the convertables!

I think they are really, really cute - there are quite a few round here, mainly convertible Beetles with cream paintwork with cream interior - gorgeous. There's just something about them, for me anyway, but I always have to turn and look when they go by!

The little vase on the dashboard with a gerbera (I think that's the flower is it?) always makes me smile

I used to have an old style yellow one and loved it too bits lol and like Isabel wasn't too keen on the new shape, but it has grown on me
It used to be great fun having a beetle as everyone who had one would wave at you - Brilliant lol - hopefully they still do that now xxx

I have happily been a "bugger" for about 15 years. I have now owned 4 since passing my test, 1st one was bright pink, that was it I was hooked. My husband was also into them when we met and have alwasy had a bug or camper. He went on to win many shows with one of his. We now own a VW garage in the UK called Volksdreams, run by Darren's brother Chris. We now have a birght pink bug in the drive, as well as a blue camper and a yellow crew cab!!
Once you have owned one you will NEVER look back, it gets into your blood. The VW gangs are some of the nicest people around, and do not worry the "new" beetle has too been acepted into the scene.

cool , so guess thats a landslide vote for the Beetle then, which is good news because while ive been at work today hubby has gone and put a deposit on it for me,(bless him!!)
Just gotta pick out wot private plate im getting now...i dont know decisions,decisions!!!

I have always loved the old ones but have taken a likeing to the new ones but if I could afford it I would have a new Mini I just love those.

My old car was a 2CV great little car loved it LOL!!!!
