Hi Sam

Have just read one of your many replies to problems with the site,, I am having a few firstly it's not really with the site it's me,,but being a bit useless at the mo ! i've spent hours with your site looking and reading but then I go and forget where I saw ssomething I want to look at so I have to start all over again!!!

Anyway I'm sure I will master it but in the meantime can you clear up a few things for me pleeeeese..

1 wot are Reputation points ? (had a good reputation at school but slipped slightely since leaving )

2 How do you get from a newbie Geek ( which I am ) to very geekie ?

3 wots the diff between a subscribed thread and an unsubscribed thread ?

so far I think that's all as I can hear you banging your head against a very hard wall screaming " oh why me" I hope you don't lose all faith in us ... well not yet anyway

Reputation points are dished out by other members on the site. If someone thinks your post is exceptional, they add to your reputation... if they think it sucks and is counterproductive... they deduct from your reputation. THe green blips on people posts represent their reputation level. You can get the level by hovering your mouse over the green blip.

Your user title changes 1 of 2 ways.
1. Your post count (the more you post, the higher your rank goes)
2. By becoming a Premium Geek (They can create custom titles)

When you make a new topic or post (depending on the settings in your profile) you may automatically subscribe to that thread. That way you get notified when someone posts to the thread you are watching. You can also choose to subscribe to other threads that are of intrest to you.
All in all its just an easy way to watch some threads.
