Hi all!

I have been lurking and reading for quite some time now so I thought it was about time I took the plunge and joined!

I am very new to nails. I did receive training last year in L&P but I never plucked up the courage to work on anyone but family and friends (you know how it is - confidence, confidence, confidence - or lack there of!

). Anyway, I am glad that I didn't because I modelled for someone doing another L&P course and realised how totally poor and rushed my training had been.

So now I am working on restoring my faith in my ability to, eventually after a lot of hard work, become a good nail technician. I moved to Turkey in March of this year and we have just, two weeks ago, opened a nail salon here so fingers crossed!

(stress, stress, stress!)

Anyway I am glad to be part of what appears to be a very supportive team of nail technicians and friends and receiving help and advice from you because some of you are oh so wise and experienced!! (can't imagine getting to that point but I am sure I will one day)

wow! What an exciting adventure! We all start at the begining, I remember sitting alone in the salon preying for the phone to ring, 8 years on, I'm glad we stuck it out.

Welcome to this fab site. Im new to this site as well and have recently opened a salon.

Maybe we can help each other with the highs and lows of having a salon -hopefully more highs. Good luck. Where abouts in Turkey are you based. Are you anywhere near Olu Deniz.
