Me and my hubby are about equal - I do all the cooking, regardless of wether ive been working all day and hes not, we have a cooked dinner together every evening. I deal with the kids. My hubby pays all the bills, and I buy and pay for the extras (hols, clothes, nights out etc). My hubby will also do the ironing and hoovering, though he wont clean the loo!!
My mum always says im lucky to have a husband that will do things like that, but i think its just what we (woman) expect nowadays, and why shouldnt we!! My dad would never cope if something happened to my mum, he cant even turn the washing machine on! |

Life isnt half funny!
When I was working every hour that god sends we tended to share all the household duties. However, since I finished my beauty training and currently at home just doing a few appointments here and there my husband expects me to be the best domestic and he refuses to do absolutely anything! Dont get me wrong i do believe that I should do most things in the house as I am there most of the time - but he takes it to the extreme e.g. fetching him the salt out of the cupboard to put on his tea and getting off the chair to fetch him the remote control (even though he is nearer to it)! When I say anything he say we go and get a job then! He forgets that when he first set his business up 8 or so years ago that I paid for everything and did my fair share of chores as well! |

Well I will make dinner every night for my hubby and he will wash up so I don't have to which I think is fair! I hoover the house every week and iron every week. Daryn will clean the bathroom even the toilet and pay the bills. He looks after the bills etc. Whereas I do more household chores I think! I make Daryn's lunch for work every day and make sure he has a good cooked dinner for the evening!
I think we are very equal in our relationship, he's doesn't moan at me if the house needs cleaning like some men do. My friend's hubsand is quite controlling, he will expect the house to be tidy for him for when he comes home from work and she works full time as well!! If the house isn't tidy he will tell her to do it regardless of the time! So in a way I think I am quite lucky. I think in all relationships it should be equal, just because we are women doesn't mean we have to do more washing or tidying up!!! |

I am a wonderful wife. As I was the last time
Mind you I'm not really into cooking much. Pay someone to do the ironing and garden. But I do pretty much everything else. Ted goes to work and the gym and the pub and pool and snooker and football. I'll have to think of something he does in the house..... it may take a while |

Hi
Can I come for tea too? I do all of the cleaning and he pays all the bills, that's fair if you ask me. I pretty old fashioned, I dont mind doing the chores but I expect to be kept for doing them! hehehehe He does help sometimes, the garden is his teritory and the house is mine. We both share the cooking, he makes the best curry in the world and he even cooks roast dinners. I like my house work done every other day and I cant stand a full washing basket so I just do it myself. I am a good partner, I guess anyway! x |
