What one special thing did you do together at the start of your relationship- but don't now and wish you still did???
KEEP IT CLEAN PLEASE!!!

Erm.... we used to eat out alot... visit antique shops and trade fairs... watch rom-coms in bed eating ice cream... go drinking.. go to the pictures... go to the bookshop.. visit friends.. go on holidays...

... now we don't do any of those things together BUT we've got a stunning baby princess who makes us both extremely happy!!!

I know this may sound silly as I've only bin with my fella a 4 years, but we went away camping the other week only for the weekend but it was fab, nothing to get in your way and you can just chill and chat and enjoy yourself and it doesn't cost a bomb!!!!!
We only went to chelternam, so only an hour away but it was a lovely campsite, nice and peaceful by the river.

You know, I started this thread and I'm still sat trying to think of something.........!!lol Will ask Steve when he comes home, but let's just say his memory ain't so good either!!lol

Eat out at restaurants, go dancing, go rollerblading.....

Now with kids... add the cost of babysiting to any outing? UGH
The last time we went out alone for dinner was my bday. Before that? the year before. Too far in between, these solitary moments to ourselves.
MIND YOU, it was our choice to be on a budget this tight so that I could stay home. Prior to staying home, although we had our eldest, we still went out on occasion as we could afford a sitter then.

I miss it :-( but wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

We both have similar interests, walking, camping, our dogs etc so we always have something to talk about. It is really special to have a conversation miles from anywhere with no one around, things come from the heart in such wonderful outdoor surroundings.

The first month we were dating, he brough a bouquet of 12 red roses for me and another of 12 red roses for my mom (I still lived with her) every date

And then later pink roses for me, multicolor

Now after 4 years I would be thrilled to get a few carnations!!

Its funny coz as soon as you have kids, you kind of forget what you did before you had them! (maybe thats just me, really bad memory ) I adore my kids but do miss the way you could be spontanious. If you fancy a weekend away, off you went, meal out, lovely off you go, get roaring drunk in the daytime in the sunshine, yep no prob. Everything now has to be more planned and you cant BOTH get roaring drunk as one of you has to be ok for the kids. (do i sound like an alcoholic, lol)

uh one simple thing would be nice, to talk to each other pleasantly again. Now all he ever does is has a go at me about the house, money, kids, blah blah blah blah.

when my husband (wesley) and I first got together- we could talk for hours!!!! and that's no lie- got a phone bill for over 600 dollars a few times. and even after we were married- we still would talk for hours until the sun came up and then sleep in until the afternoon just holding eachother. sometimes i miss those early morning talks-but since we have been married for over 10 years now- and have a little boy- we both are busier then we used to be so i guess thats why we dont do our talks like we used too- but i sure do miss them.

Get wasted on a friday and sat night and stay in bed all day sunday.

I miss the butterflies. And I miss being able to travel together to and from work and being together every lunch time. You see, we worked together till the beginning of this year. I miss having him around so much!

He doesnt take me to the pub anymore or any fun nights out!
