I started the summer hols with positive thoughts after seeing something on TV where this woman said kids are usually unsettled within the first 2 weeks as they are used to be busy all day at school and it take a while for them to get used to not doing as much...then they settle down. Then it takes a few weeks for them to adjust to being busy at school again and they play up again.........so i waited patiently;y for the first 2 weeks to pass thinking this is all normal, they will settle in the 3rd week...and i waited, and waited and 6 weeks on...still waiting...that woman on TV hasn't got kids has she...lol x

i know this is not what you wanted to hear, but , i love my kids when they are on holidays, because for me it means i get to spend time with them, i have always had to work right from they were little, and had to get family members to babysit them in the holidays whilst i was at work, i actually envy mums in the holidays that can take their kids out, etc whereas i have to go to work and now( as they are old enough) leave them at home, til i get back , i miss being with them, so to all you mums that are fed up with them, i know its difficult, but be thankful that you are with them , and they arent with others whilst you are clock watching at work,
if i could have my time back again a few years ago i would have told my bosses to stick their jobs, as kids are only little for a short while hope i havent offended anyone , just saying my opinion x |

in a way im looking forward to them going back to school so i can get a routine again...but in another way im dreading it,because for the first time during holidays i have to say...i am enjoying being with my kids all day every day
for some reason they dont fight as much anymore.. my eldest seems less hormonal....and they seem easily pleased nowadays.. im not liking buying lots of food to feed them though...oh my god they eat lots when they are at home all day lol...normally its brekkie...school...tea...supper...bed ! now its "iiiimmmm hhuuunnggryyyyyyy" all bloomin day long but they dont like any food i have whatsoever even when they chose it |

and i do agree with you. I used to work weekends so missed out on day trips and Sunday lunches together, hated it, and wished i could be home with the kids. Its been difficult as i have still had clients to do from home..still got to work., so the kids get fed up, i don't blame them. I have been booking 1 day a week with no clients so we can do stuff, but at least they are in there own home with there own things and not with a minder....they are really good when i have clients but as soon as they leave its like they erupt...lol. x |

Im loving the holidays tbh, I only have the one little girl but she is a pleasure, she only went to nursery 3 mornings anyway but starts every day from sept 4th. today she watched ET twice, Charlie & choc factory & the Witches, bless her while I did some sorting out in the house. My husband is back to work now so its just me & her, we went to the pictures just me & her last week I had planned to take her to see garfield 2 but she begged me to see monster house as she saw it on the telly, i took her as she said she wouldnt be scared lol, & she was fine she loved it & when she got scared she cuddled into me which was so cute - you just cant buy moments like that!!! We are going one day this week too to see garfield 2, i love going to the cinema so i dont mind & its a day out as we go on the train. I can imagine how stressful it must be with arguing sibling etc!!! though xxxxx |

NOOOOO it aint just you...feel guilty when I say it but I can't wait got my daughter to be back at school - she's getting so bored now! Think they get bored during this length of holiday, they should split these up and add them on to Christmas I think - they're more occupied then! My little boy starts nursery in 3 weeks...looking forward to that a bit too, but it'll only be like he's at playschool cos same hours and all that!

For the first couple of weeks i found it a real struggle,i wasn't used to being with him all day every day.
Now i am starting to dread the 8th sept, maybe that's because he is off to big school, maybe i will just miss him i don't know. I bet he is really naughty today now i have said this lol. |
