Hi

Could do with as much advice as any of you can give. I am about to go on my first training course on the 11th September, and very excited about a complete new career, other than being a full time mum.

Firstly, the course is only 3 days which seems to be the norm from the courses I have looked into. Does this sound right? http://www.beautytrainers.co.uk/cour...sp?course_id=5 this is the course I will be doing. Can anyone recommend anything else I should be looking to do as well. As you can tell I am a complete novice, I'm usually on the other side of the counter so to speak.

Secondly I am looking to go mobile, and have already had a good read of the thread by Sassy regards to advertising etc, was a great read too.

I have read that come of you have been Creative trained. How do I go about this? Also, suppliers for your tools of the trade/products.

Sooooooooo many questions! Sorry about such a long post, but this is a brilliant site from what I have read so far and look forward to spending a lot of time here.

I started from scratch in Jan, same situation as you. I did the bio sculpture course, it was good but this site has helped loads. Not heard of yours, sorry.

Its a bit of a roller coaster of emotions while you are learning, much much more consuming than I ever could have imagined. It does fit in well with family life, and the money is good for the hours.

Hi Claire and welcome.

Creative are a very popular company,they offer training for complete novices such as your self,why not give them a call,they are very helpfull.

Reading the tutorials and threads will be very helpfull to you,as you have already seen.

In regards to equipment,the better training companies would supply you with a kit included in the price of your training.

Have called Creative Nails and they do a foundation course which includes a kit, so looking to change my course for the same date. Want to get cracking now

welcome claire... where bouts in essex are you...? oh you just missed the Essex meet too!!!! ha ha xx Also what about going to earls court in september (10th and 11th). You will pick up all sorts of info and products etc xx

Im in Orsett, just outside Grays. Im going to be going to Loughton to do the Creative Nail course, hopefully anyway lol. Although the other course will be in Brentwood, so just up the road for me.

Thanks for the tip of Earls Court too, will see if I can get a babysitter
