Hi,I posted about this this morning and then said I had solved my problem but it seems I havn't at all.When I go into the Geek site it asks me to log in every time now.Its clicked on the remember me icon so this should not be happening.Also I have not done anything to the history either on the p.c.When I log in it says thanks for logging in but Im not actually logged in,sorry feel like talking nonsense now.Anyway,I'm not logged in,no pic of me nothing.The only way I'm able to log in properly is to click on someones name in the users column,a note flashes up saying I cant sen d pm's ect as I'm not logged in and there's a big log in,password page on my p.c.When I log in on this I am actually fully logged in.This is the only way I'm able to log in which is a bit crazy.I have never had this problem before and nothing has been adjusted since the last time I came on the geek site.Can anyone help please as I really dont know what's gone wrong.

try clearing your cookies, temp internet files and history, then try again and tick the remember me box..... it seem to be a browser issue rather then a network one....also defrag PC on a regular basis, this keeps it running smooth and gives you full power.

How do you defrag? Think mine could do with that!

click on the ''start'' button go to programs', up to accessories' then this will give you another box to the side, click on 'system tools' then go down to 'defrag' and click on it.....defrag can take quite a while to do and I mean hours!!!!! You will need to turn off any open programs, screen save and often your antivirus too....I am on broadband and so I actually unplug my router/modem so that nothing can enter my PC when I have the anti virus switched off....to switch off items that might interfere with the defrag, right click on the items at the bottom right of your screen and click on close, exit or whatever it says to disable them, they will return fine when you restart the PC....I hope this all makes sense...I defram at least once a month

I know what you mean about it taking hours so will do mine tonight.I have followed the advice about cookies and history but hasn't made any difference still getting the same proble.Hoping that defrag will make a difference.

This prompted me to do mine and it just took me 35minutes seeing as I do it regularly....I am on Windows XP professional edition. Sometimes if you are on Windows 98SE you can do a full system scan first and this shortens the time that a defrag takes.

Have you logged in on another computer?
I never log out on my computer, & when I use my daughters it wont remember me.
I log in & my name goes to the who's online but it's like I'm somebody else looking at it ( hope you understand that). I've found that I have to then click on register, then it tells me I'm already registered & I'm logged in properly, but it won't remember me

The only other thing I have done is log in on my mobile.I tried to log in yesterday and am having same problems as on my main pc.So it's not my computer,i.e cookies,history.Am at a loss as to what to do.Its very odd.Thanks for your advice though.xx

What browser and version are you using?

Hi Sam,windows XP,not sure about browser.Not had this problem before.Have to add I'm not a computer wizz as you can probably tell.Browser is internet explorer.
