Don't do it - I used to work for the company that runs the network behind it and they are a nightmare (faults are at an all time high and customer sevice at an all time low)! One of my closest friends is also a Senor Manager there now and he tells me its got worse - not better!
Believe me, I've worked in telecoms for 20 years and just like nail product suppliers....you get exactly what you pay for...and Talk Talk are cheap...nuff said! |

Hi Amb,
I'm with TalkTalk. At first I just paid my phone bill to them, linerental still went to Bt. They promised cheaper calls but to be honest, I can't say I've seen any difference. I applied for the broadband, all inclusive package......have paid two payments alreday for the service, but still no broadband. Having watched Watchdog the other night, I will probably cancel and move my phone back to BT. If something is too good to be true........run like mad |

Hi amb we have been with talk talk for 3 years just the phone no probs then we signed up for the internet in april by june we had still recieved nothing.
They kept saying that they have sent us a pass word but when you put it in it has expired. We called them was on the phone 56 mins ended up cancelling the contract and going with bt as the have got a good offer on for the package My advise would be to stay away. |

It was indeed. They have 1000's upon 1000's of customers that are NOT HAPPY !! Not only do they charge them for the service, but half of these people don't even have a connection. There customer services is totally useless and when you call them with a technical problem, they charge you 10p per minute for the privelage. If I was you, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole ! They were featured on watchdog the other night as not forefilling their promosies and their customer service is meant to be pants. there were customers who travelled to their head office to go in person and make complaints as they couldnt get through to them one woman was on hold for 56minutes.
How do you find pipex Amber ive been with them for a couple of years but seem o ahve ahd a few problems lately but dont know wether that is cos my modem is too old. |

Guys
If anyone wants to check out the real lowdown on any broadband provider, the site to use is ADSLguide: The UK's largest independent ADSL review site - Your guide to UK broadband Internet. This site is run independantly of any providers by an industry body and the 'ratings' of providers is genuine and a good representation of their service levels. To check out a couple of providers, click the compare section and tick their boxes! Best to note, if your provider isn't on here, that means that the service is being provided by someone else and only being billed by the company you are with. That means there is a 'middle man' - ie someone who is ading their costs to the package and you are not getting the best cost for that particular service. Makes interesting reading - well it does if you are as sad as me! |
