I have just begun enquiring about opening my own salon .

I don't want to bombard you with questions about what to do ,how to do it etc .

I know very little if anything about opening a salon .

I am enrolled onto some business courses but i know i will need lots of help and advise.

So i was wondering if some one would be my mentor ?

Someone who would be kind enough to answer my questions and give me advise .

I intend the salon to offer specialist nail services and also sun beds.

I need all the help i can get,so if someone would be willing to help, i would be extremely great full.

becki - business link are FAB as said above - really helpful. if you enrol with them there are free courses available. also courses from the inland revenue - when i registered as self employed they sent me out loads of info on courses xx

I can't really help as I'm new to this too.... but I wouldn't open another salon doing BOTH nails and tanning again!!

It is hard work and without the staff to cover constantly, which you wont have for the first few months.. the nails will suffer... I learn the hard way!

Ca,the sunbeds shouldn't be a problem ,i am taking my mum on full time as sunbed attendant/receptionist/whatever else she can do lol x

My buisness link advisor is comming on wednessday at ten,but he won't know about ventilation,daylight lamps etc ,that's why i need you lol

Lucky ???? Mum didn't give me an option,she hates her job lol .

These are very much thoughts at the moment and it will be a while before i even look for premisis.

Ca you maybe more of a help than you think,i don't even know where to buy the sunbeds,that's how new my plan is.

I can point you in the direction of where NOT to go for beds, and which companies to avoid !!
