Facial Ranges...What do you stock ? - 06-10-06, 11:42 AM

Ive decided to part company with my current range as i don't feel i am getting results with it or that my clients are particuarly bothered about it so am on the lookout for new products.

The problem is i want a recognised range eg. Dermalogica as its a big name & hasn't got a huge range, but being mobile im limited to what i can carry & most of the start up orders come with loads of retail products which i don't need at present. Can't have them anyway as they don't supply to mobile & there are about four home salons around here that stock them.

Ive looked into Nimue but i don't really understand the three ranges they have, Thalgo have a min order of £3000 I have run out of ideas most of the ranges i have looked at are names that are only known in the industry not ones my clients have heard of.

Any ideas ? What products do you stock mobile or salon & do you have clients come to you because of the range ?

Hi There ,

Well I stock and sell Ann Marie Borlind . This is a german range ( no animal testing ect). There is no minimum order . They do both a salon range for retail and a spa range for proffesssional use ( ie performing facials)

Try the link below . If you ring them ask to speak to Jane . They are really lovely and give a great customer service . You also get 5 free samples for each £50 worth of products you order .

I find this range brilliant and my customers love it .

Simply Nature - 01580 201687

The spa professional range is not on the website and it only gives retail prices . You would need to ring them for details.

Hope you find this useful

Kind Regards
Karen

Here is a previous thread :

Facial Brand Help please

There is also the Acadmie range from Hyperion.

I dont really think it is that crucial to use a brand your clients have heard of, as long as it does the job for them and you are confident with it. There is an awful lot of snobbery surrounding some beauty ranges and there are lots of great ranges out there that are well known in the industry but consumers may not have heard of them, unless their local salon carries them.

hi, you might like the Alqvimia range, all based on ancient alchemic recipes using dead sea salts, muds and pre-blended aromatherapy oils. As well as facial treatments they do some gorgeous spa body treatments too. Alquimia UK - Experience Beauty As Bliss or El Taller de Alqvimia - The Alchemy Workshop

Thanks for the suggestions, will have a look at the websites/brands mentioned

I would be prepared to pay up to £1000 but don't want to be bombarded with retail & body products.

Anymore ideas ?

hi i use eve taylor, i think its a fab start out product, they have excellent retail opportunities too, its cheaper for clients to buy the products off you then go try buy off the eve taylor website. But i also absolutely love pevonia, their products are sooo beautiful! Not sure what their price range is? x

I would look into the Susan Molyneux Range or Environ - their start up packages are not too pricey either.

Looked at Eve Taylor when i first started up, we had a few disagreements Recently looked into Pevonia but they only supply therapists with two or more treatment rooms.

Used Susan Molyneux at college & have disliked it ever since im afraid, also i have been told that the minimum spend is £60 everytime you re-order
Environ have been considering, seems to have cropped up in quite a few salons around here.

Ta for suggestions

How about swissdermyl they don't have a minimum order and are mobile therapist friendly with very good products, I'm changing to them soon. Products include intensive collagen treatments, AHA peels and sea based skincare treatments. It covers everything you could need.

I use Paul Penders its an all organic skincare range, I use this because I work in an holistic centre. Amanda who runs the natural skincare company is so helpful. I can't get enough if this product, it smells so good and works very well.

mentioned it before but try cetuem. you can get contact info from Holding They have one cleanser & toner so you don't need to carry loads, different masks, oils etc and no minimium order. Its plant & marine based and my clients seem to love it. smells great, good price, Jordan has recently started using this
