Wot - No geek Site!

There have been various threads about recently - both positive and negative and it got me thinking about the old days LOL.

If we wanted to find out something in the old days what did we do.

I remember having to make loads of phonecalls - ok there were forums when I started 6 years ago but nothing like this.

Here is my question:

If there was no Geek site or even, heaven forbid no Internet - how would you go about finding out stuff. I am talking nail career stuff, not stuff in general.

It would be really difficult so it should make us all maybe appreciate what a resource we have here and try and ensure that it is here with all of its resources for years to come.

Couldn't agree with you more. I don't know what I'd do without this site, it's a wealth of information at your fingertips (pardon the pun)

I've learn't loads from this site, things that you just don't get taught, little tricks that you've come across and shared them with us all. It's brilliant.

I wouldnt be doing nails if it wasnt for this site! and prob wouldn't be working for myself..eek!!!

I think it is wonderful that we all have access to, the tutorials, experienced people, business info, product info, tricks of the trade, jokes, venting space and..........each other.

I guess it would have been a case of phone our educators 24/7 and really annoying them! And books - but you never find everything in there and there's always something new that comes along and you need an answer for. That's the fab thing about this site - no matter what time of day you have that niggling question there will always be someone here to answer it - thanks to it being worldwide and having time differences and of course geeks that never sleep! xx

I guess i would rely on trade magazines and nails shows i'd be more inclined to go to shows further afield...

and I'd rely more on the West Yorshire Geek Meets too....
