My clients are always asking me what made me want to do nails? The fact is it was my mum, I caught the bug from her. In the early eights she was having fibreglass wraps done by a nail tech working from her kitchen in Harrow ,North London. I went along to watch a few times and was very interested. Then one summer mum took me to Florida on holiday and she paid for me to have my nails donefor my birthday....that was it, I was HOOKED!!!

I have been hooked ever since....how about you??

Got sick of fixing peoples cars! x

Wanted to do something that fitted in round the kids.

I got so sick of paying through the nose and never being happy with them.

I look at mine now ,and my clients and although there is lot's of room for improvement if not perfection,i am proud to say i have done them and would be more than happy to pay for them x

I always enjoyed having my nails done but didnt enjoy going out in the winter nights to have them done..after a long discussion with my partner we decided to look into training.I found my local college did nail courses so i booked up and havent looked back since now im intrested in doing beauty but carnt at the mo due to lack of funds....plus i wanted to do somthink i could fit around the kids

this site did ! I was a beauty therapist anyway, and after looking at all the pics etc here i thought i wanna do that as well!

I was sick of having my nails done & being trashed, I have had them done for many years & always had a interest in them! Also I wanted something to do in my spare time & to do something I enjoy!

Nothing, I fell into it by circumstance and chance and then fell in love!

I always had lovely long nails but suddenly they went to pot.

I gave up smoking and decided to spend some of the money on nails.

I watched the girl doing them and thought I could do that. I could go mobile, I am a determined person, I have an artistic flair, I love people, This will be a piece of cake.................................:ee k:

AS A QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT, TRAVELLING IN TO TOWN EVERY DAY ON TRAIN, I SAID, NO, ENOUGH, SAW ONE TOO MANY VAT RETURN AND SPREAD SHEET TOO MANY.................
DECIDED TO LEARN SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT , WORK FOR MYSELF, AND HAVE PEOPLE WORKING FOR ME/US..............
SO THATS WHAT I DID.

DIDNT KNOW WHAT THOUGH, CERTAINLY WANT THINKING NAILS/BEAUTY TYPE STUFF.
THEN JUST SAW A MAG AND THOUGH NICE.
THEN GOT MARRIED AND WANTED MY NAILS DONE, AND THEN THOUGHT, THEY ARE NICE, BUT I CAN DO BETTER..................SO I DID AND I CAN!!!!

NEVER LOOKED BACK..........
MY WALL IS FULL OF DIPLOMAS, NVQ'S, CERTIFICATES AND CONVERSIONS ETC, ETC,
BEST THING I EVER DID AND IT FITS PERFECT ROUND MY HORSES AND STABLES

When I was 17 my friends mum spotted an ad in a nailbar window for a junior and told me to go for it.She had noticed that I always had perfectly polished nails with fancy designs and thought it was a perfect job for me.

I was studying graphic design at college and doing really well (but HATING every second) so my dad was not best pleased. Quit college and gave it a go and turned out that I was quite a nifty little tech in the making!!

Have tried many jobs in between as found that Nailtech jobs arent the best paid!!! From social services drug intervention team, to outdoor activity instuctor!!
Loved them all but kept coming back to nails and beauty, so decided to get my own business - I have never enjoyed doing nails so much! Its getting to be an addiction!! Addicted to my job!! Never thought id say that!!! LoL
