lifting and medication - 24-11-06, 06:27 PM

i have recently started work and have a few regular clients who have their appointments every 2 to 3 weeks things are ok with them all ,except for one client she is taking quite a lot of medication for asthma, topical eczema creams and strong anti depressants she has experienced very bad lifting its as if the product has began to peel and disintegrate from the nail and also the tips have lifted away form underneath the product i am a bit stumped on this one as none of the other clients have lifting at all does anyone think that it IS down to the medication or am i doing something really wrong i have tried to get round the problem but to no avail ,ive used scrubfresh, nailfresh and primer in my preps(scrubfresh and nail fresh to begin with ) as i thought there may be problems, she also had quite thin and bendy nails to begin with, any ideas or answers would be really appreciated sorry for the rambling post but am getting a bit desperate
thanks again
xx

I had this problem with one of my friends. Shes on prozac and her nails just come off! I did her before she went on the med and had no problems at all! I was really down about it and asked on here and apparently it can happen so your not the only one. Its quite poo really cause having nice nails made her feel better!

Hi Hun, it does sound like the medication but i would say the creams more than tablets etc, i'm sure i have heard something about an ingredient in the creams which effects enhancements? maybe other geeks can add to this?
But maybe the client could wear those gloves (you know like the ones used when waxing) when applying the creams, hth's a little xx
