Hiya, I thought your nail length was consistent and so was the shape although I personally don't like the 'pointed slipper shape' myself. It was difficult to judge apex placement as we can't see a side shot of the nails which is why I gave you a 3 as opposed to a 0. Smile line is good although could have done with being raised towards the free edge more to create the look of a longer nail bed. I love the colour and the little snowflake etc. are a lovely touch.

Oooh, the extra pics of side and barrel shots weren't there before were they ?

So just to add, they do look a bit thick at the cuticle area on the middle finger. The apex is too far back on the index finger so I would leave my marks as already posted. Thanks for the extra pics.

In the first picture they look really nice with nice smiles, but on looking at the other pictures I have to agree with mrs clooney also the smiles seem deeper on one side and the free edge looks very thick. well done for putting them up for critque.

I love the colour of the glitter Karen... I think the apex placement, zone 3 and the smiles lets these nails down, if zone 3 were to be flusher with the nail then the apex would look better. Having said that, these were your first attempt AND you did them on yourself, no easy feat.

The shape is slightly inconsistent, and the smiles, though they are nice and deep.... I see a teensy weensy bit of inconsistency (though my smiles suck, so.....))


Overall, I like them, and for doing them on yourself (which I KNOW is the hardest of all!!!) I think you did a fine job.

How long did they take you?

For me, a new set of sculpts with gel takes near 4hrs
