Just wondered if any of you guys find make-up popular. I dont at the moment but i think i have not advertised it in the best places (such as bridal shops?) any ideas would be great. also which products do you use? as i am not too busy with make up i am still using the kit i got at college, its ok but not the best really, it is worth investing in a better kit? Thanks in advance x

to be honest i don't find makeup to be that popular this time of year. When it gets to spring/summer it starts to pick up cuz of weddings. We offer day/evening makeup aswell as wedding makeup but we mainly focus on advertising the wedding makeup. At our salon we also have hair dressing so we can cater for the whole package, we are going to have a stand at a couple of local wedding fairs in january to make people aware that we do hair, makeup and nails for thier special day.
we use ArtDeco makeup and i find they have a very good range of colours aswell as different foundations, mascara's etc.

We dont do that many make-up treatments at all tbh.I would go so far to say that it is probably the least wanted treatment out of everything we do.

We get more in the summer,when the kids are having their school proms and weddings.Few at Xmas time as well.

It was the same in the other salons I have worked in,never in great demand really.

We use Darphin make up and although I love their facial and body products I think they need a few more colours as they are pretty limited and not very adventuress.HTH
