Skin Analyser pen and crystal massage wand - 02-01-07, 01:19 PM

Happy new year everyone!
I saw these two products in the health and beauty salon magazine and just wondered if any one else has used them or something similar?

The skin analyser pen tells you the water, oil and cuticle index of a clients skin. Just wondered if it was worth having or if its just a gimmic?

The crystal massage wand is from Antient therapies and can be used with all sorts of massage. They do a one day course to go with the wands and you get two different sized wands for diferent areas.

I thought they both look interesting, but I find it easy to get carried away with new products in magazines!

Thanks in advance

I saw the wand and thought it looked interesting as well,I wasn't so interested in the crystal significance but the fact that it could be used instead of the thumbs etc, easing problems I have when carrying out massage on nodules.

I personally think it may be yet another gimmicky thing. What would we actually be training in if we enrolled on the course?I already know all my anatomy etc so I guess it would be aimed at the benefits of the crystal and I dont know if that would be of any interest to me whatsoever.Sorry all you crystal people,no offense meant xx

I feel a little unsure of this but may have a look when I go to the show in Feb.You never know it could be a fantastic new concept but I personally think it's just yet another gimmicky thing.Think I would rather invest in a G5 machine to work on those nodules.

It says about using the point of the wand on acupressure points, (which I haven't done before) and I was hoping this would be covered on the course. I just thought they sounded good as they could be incorporated in my facials, manicures and pedicures as well as full body.

Mmmm, well we use Darphin in our salon and part of the massage routine in the facials is working on all the acupressure points, but using our thumbs and fingers, so that wouldn't really be beneficial, not sure about manicures and pedicures though,my clients like the hands on type of massage, but they could well like something a bit different.

I think I will definately have a look at the show,at least then I can have a chat with their reps and see exactly whats involved and if it would work for me.I would like to have them use it on me to get a feel for it from the clients perspective.

Good luck in it if you go for it,let us know.xx
