This is a sculpt that I did recently. I HOPE that you see improvement compared to my previous sculpts.
As with the previous critique I submitted, I know where I see fault. But I want to know what you all think.

Please give it to me straight.

Definately getting alot better. Some of extension edges (mostly the pinkies) & smiles are a little are a little inconsistant.On of the thumbs looks a bit flat & not sure on a couple of the other apexes look off, but that might just be the pic.

Getting better! The tips are tending to fan out a bit and the thumbs look shorter than the rest, check the line your sculpting to on the form is the same on all nails unless you`ve got a bitten nail , your smile lines look ok nice bit of jewellery for the pic. Well done for posting your work!!!

I definately agree with what's been said.
She's a biter... and with forms, I have trouble still getting the gel too wide and filing a tonne off Drives me NUTS.

I agree with the pinkies too. I was trying to hide her smile line, but at the same time balance the nails? Tricky to do with a biter and no camouflage gel (but hopefully this will improve as I NOW have camouflage gel whoohooo)
I know I did improve... BUT I also know there's still room for lots more improvement on my sculpts.

When I sculpt with gel, if I think it's a bit wide, I wipe off my brush on a pad dampened with scrubfresh, and run it along the egdes to tidy them up and bring it in (just like tidying up your smiles)

nails look nice, but not consistant, some have soft look, some sharp, the quality of the picture is so good, i can see every hair on every knuckle.
The jump in the sidewall of the thumb + the shape of all the others makes me think this "jump" would be in all the nails. This "jump" makes for a weakness throughout and this is where the nails will break.

Yeah, I have my camera set at the highest dpi for better quality pics, then I use the macro setting on top of that LOL
THEN I crop and zoom in on just the 'subject'. I rarely have probs with my pics LOL

Me too, I found the shape off... had a hard time with her. I "think" she's a jumper naturally, but I could be wrong. Could be the way I had the forms. She's a biter... so I had a hard time, as you well know. Not that I dont already have a hard time mastering sculpting... but I'm trying

Thanks again.
I'm hoping this monday, will be a much better sculpt.
Trying a new gel.. so... we'll see
