Hi everyone. Am thinking of opening up a beauty salon but there seems to be so many around do you really think there is money still to made!!

I think a lot would depend on the area you are thinking of. Are there many other salons around, are they busy. You will need to do a lot of research in your chosen area.

I do think though that if you are good and you have good staff around you then yes you can make it work for you. Be prepared for lots of hard work, long hours, then there is the paperwork, it doesn't all finish when the doors close to your clients.

Yes I think you can do it. There are about ten salons in the immediate area to mine (no that's not exaggerating either), and I'm still picking up new clients all the time. Get yourself a website, and put your details on as many free directories on the web as you can. That's where I pick up 90% of my new clients from. If your treatments are top quality, you'll do well wherever you are.
