hey

had a little read throught the reputation poll but im still confused - for example my reputation says 15 points but theres only on comment - what does this mean??

Everyone starts off with 10 reputation points, that means the person who repped you has a reputation value of 5 points.

Sandi, does that mean that the person with 5 rep points has had neg rep to lose 5 points?
If so, if you have 20 rep points and give neg rep, the other person loses 20 points?

I think the negative rep is worth half of what your positive rep power is. If your rep is 20 this does not mean that your rep power is 20.

I think we did this before and if you right click on the blue bar under your user title and click properties, it will tell you what your power ranks.

Like Fiona said, your neg rep power is half the value of your pos rep power.

The number of points you have as a total (eg 50) doesn't mean you add 50 to someone elses when you pos rep them.
The maximum reputation power you can have is 10 which in turn means your neg rep power is 5.
