Hi , my names alice and im new on here, and i have got to say, i am so glad i have found it as it has been such a great help to me.

I finished a L&P foundation course at creative last month and i can also do gel. looking throughthe gallery , evryone is so amazing, im so jelous! wish i was that good! hope i will someday.

Ay way, i am desperately looking to start off in a salon , i live in cardiff so one there would be ideal. i have gone to literally every salon around my area which adds up to about 100 and nobody is looking to take anyone on. was just wondering if someone could give me advice. i didnt really want to go mobile just yet asi havent got enough money to start up and i feel that i would really benefit from experience working in a salon b4 i go it alone, and plus, i cant drive!!

any feedback would be such a great help.

We have all felt like that when we first qualified hun, if you have a spare day you could always volunteer to work in a salon one day a week or you could ask the unemployment centre to find you a place for work experience, i know that they do this now a days as they offered me the option of work experience and you do get a little extra in your benefit allowance per fortnight hth,

Hiya Alice, I'm moving to Cardiff in august, I've too noticed no salons in the area seem to be advertising for nail techs! Even though there are tons of nail salons. I guess we'll just have to sit tight and wait for jobs to come up!!
