Question moor spa - 16-02-08, 02:05 PM

i haven't opened my salon yet but have phoned various suppliers to enquire about their products. moor spa sent me loads of samples this morning. i was interested in this range as its not tested on animals and is natural. have had info packs from other companies as well but i liked this one. anyway i wanted to know if anyone uses this line and how they find it.

Hi Angelina,
I too got a box of goodies from moor spa yesterday and must say they are very generous.
On first impressions, that is a good sign.
I have opened a few and am a little disappointed as they smell and feel like they are from the cheaper end of the market, but will give myself a full facial and give them a really good chance.
Did you notice that the mask is only to be left on for 1 minute!!!

why don't you contact various companies to attend your salon or home and demonstrate their treatments, i have had a salon for 20 years and always do this if i want to introduce a new product/treatment

I've had the rep from acadamie and from Matis come to the salon.
I have a rep coming to see me next week from algologie.

I have had samples from moor spa, matis, acadamie, circaroma and germaine de cappacini.

I am still waiting for samples from Eve Taylor.

We got some samples from Moor Spa a while back. I loved them but my colleague said they made her skin itch. So I guess the best thing is to get some friends to try them out so you get several different viewpoints.

This is indeed great advice!
I myself use the moor-spa products and was very impressed with them. I now use them on myself regularly too. However we all have very different opinions and want different things from products. It is a good idea to contact as many companies as possible and ask them for lots of samples. Try these products on yourself and on friends and family, and get lots of different opinions. What ever you do take your time and dont be forced into purchasing any brand until you are ready.

Sorry to hear that you did not get good support from your local rep, this is not the case that happens often, a first I think!

Algologoe is used worldwide in salons and spas, it is the number 1 brand in Canada, the number one spa brand in South Africa and has also won numerous awards.

Algologie is very new to the UK but thankfully to all the spas and salons it is growing really fast, it keeps everyone on their toes.

It is a great brand for mobile therapists due to the low start up cost, but also is ideal for spas because of the holistic treatments (Thai Pinda Karma, Hot Stones).

The rep for algologie that came to see me was great, very knowlegable, and friendly. She laughed at all my jokes! haha
I texted her a question the next day and got a prompt answer.

It's a shame you didn't have a very good rep as mine have been really good.

I disagree about the Vine Secrets grape scrub being harsh - it's actually very gentle and our clients love the treatment & the results from it.

We've been using Algologie in the salon for about 2 years or so now (so not that new to the UK), but having not spent much time treating clients, I wasn't that familiar with the results. However, I'm between part-timers at the moment so I'm back doing clients again. We've recently had a run of facials & mini-facials which has enabled me to use the products a bit more.

All I can say is I Am Loving Them . I have started using their serum, which is brilliant.

Anyway, for the price, you can't go wrong (imho). There's a huge range of face & body treatments to choose from, but with no minimum order value. This means you can introduce new face/body treats every 3-4 months or so, helping cash flow & keeping clients interested in what you have to offer.

The body treatments are Fantastic as well. I used just 2 products on a lady the other day and you wouldn't believe the difference in her skin
