My fingers go like this Pip when I have been a little sloppy with working with my gel brush and get uncured gel on my fingers.
Could there be any over exposure thing there for you too? Is it the same fingers all the time or all of them? |

Ive looked into all that lelli, i use the same bleach, cleaner, cloths etc so it cant be any of them.
Only thing i have changed lately is soap powder but even then its only to a brand ive used in the past with no problems. (depends on the offer at macro) lol I even thought it could be baby wipes but ive used pampers sensative since cj was born and didnt have this problem 10 month ago so dont think its them ![]() I really am puzzled |

Ive got really dry fingers at the moment too, just the ones I hold my brush with, they also itch like mad and are sore.I put a thread on here the other day,we put it down to over exposure, I have to learn to work cleaner, this may be your problem too.
My skin keeps cracking too where its so dry, have been putting solar oil on it which works great, but I think I must get myself to the docs to get something to heal it up.And I must look after my fingers in future, whilst doing nails. |

Doesnt irritate me or hurt (only on my thumb from time to time)
Its more of a pain in the a$$ as they catch on clothing and cj likes his legs and back stroked when going to sleep but i cant incase it scratches him lol |

Not really, i have a dishwasher so no washing up, if i use detergents for cleaning i 99% of the time wear gloves. I wash my hands after using the loo but thats only a handfull of times a day and then i put creative scensations lotion on.
I think i might just pay the doctor another visit because even though its not painfull its very annoying and something is causing my skin to dry, shed & peel. |

Hi pips
I had the same problem as you last month, I nearly peeled all of my skin off my thumb, it is either contact dermatitus(mm dodgy spelling) or its an allergy to something that you are using ie: hand cream, I personally can not use anything with lanolin in so check your hand creams, as it could be an ingrdient in it, I also agree with Debbie as it could be over exposure. I soaked off my nails in a different acetone and I think it caused me my skin complaint, i got rid of mine by using solar butter/oil. Also if I wear flocked lined rubber gloves my hands itch and go red, i have to buy sensitive gloves or wear cotton gloves under my normal rubber gloves. hth |

I still think it is something to do with your son driving your car,
he has something on his hands from work or messing around with his mates cars and is transferring this onto the steering wheel, then when you drive it is getting onto your hands plus he sometimes cleans the car for you (bless him) maybe he is wiping some car cleaning chemical on there just thinking out side the box ![]() |

Sometimes we can use the same cleaning product for years and then slowly over time we develop a sensitivity to it basically over exposure......i had allways been fine with bleach cleaning products then i developed peeling skin and blisters under my skin on the palms of my hands.......it was the bleach....i had never had a problem with it before...........we can develp allergies to things we have been using problem free for years....then one day we become sensitive to it......
