Proffesional make up - 09-04-08, 09:33 PM

Hi I rent a beauty room within a hair salon. I have not as yet put make-up on my price list and was hoping to get away from it!! This has not worked!! Can anybody recomend a good proffesional make-up brand that does not cost an arm and a leg to get started with?

Thank you

Sandy

Well after many months of indecision I have finally made my mind up and placed my order today with ArtDeco. I know their products are good because we had training with them at college and their prices are very reasonable too.
Artdeco Couture
I only requested info yesterday and I had an email from them today. Gave them a call and they were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I'm not a skin geek and I don't use a huge amount of make-up (just tinted moisturiser and pressed powder, sometimes a bit of blush) but i love eye make up and bright colours! I currently have bright turquoise shadow over my lids and lined in black liquid eyeliner.......but if I was a make-up artist I would definately go for MAC.

Good quality products and not overly expensive in my opinion (eyeshadows are £10 or £7 - maybe £7.50 - if you buy them not in a pot, to put in your own pallete, if that makes sense!!!) You should be able to register for MAC professional too which I believe has cheaper/trade prices!

Sorry for waffling on, hth xx

Hi there

I am a holistic and beauty therapist.

I now rent rooms above a hairdressers and have been doing makeovers and little princess make-overs for some time now.

I would recommend Barbara Bort Make-up. It is from Italy and is a Mineral Makeup which is NOT tested on animals and it is gorgoues.

I wear it myself and whenever anyone comes in for a facial they have the privalige to try b4 they buy as I retail it and is going well so far.

There is no start up costs and NO minimum order. The lady who I buy it from is in ( Manchester ) and has all the stock to hand and she will come to your home if your localish and she goes through everything with you and recommends best buys etc. and the beauty of it you can make up your own package and budget where necessary.

Delivery is normally two working days.

Here is the website if you wish to take a look

:: SPARKLE COSMETICS ::

I would take a look and once again definetly would recommend it as i researched for months eg susan monulex, nice but too pricey. lily lilo, lovely but everything small and loose ( too messy to work with ) Mac cosmetics again big start up costs and looked at a few more but Barbara Bort was the one for me

I just bought 12 individual eye shadows from ebay for £16. Cant wait for them to arrive.
I am too looking into make up ranges as at college i am using avon cosmetics make up but i guess someone wouldnt want me to use Avon on them for their wedding or special occasion. Does everyone else agree?
