Clean & Easy Waxing - 11-04-08, 01:31 PM

I typed clean and easy waxing into google and it came up with a discussion that was had on this site in 2004 and i realised i had the same problem now.

I was wondering if anyone could help. I bought the clean and easy waxing kit a couple of months ago and i have had such trouble with it. the underarm and bikini cartridges work fine but the leg ones dont. when i take the cartride out of the heater, it feels boiling hot but when i roll it onto the legs it cools down too quickly and makes removal very difficult and messy. most of the time it doesnt come off the leg and i have to go over it a few times to remove it and it doesnt roll on nicely either.

i was wondering if anyone else uses this heater and if they have also had this problem, if so what can i do??? its causing me alot of problems and embarrassment with clients.

Thanx

Did you get a thermo sleeve with it??? It keeps the cartridge hot and stops you from burning your hands. Alternatively you can try wrapping a wax strip round the cartridge once you have removed it from the heater, this also stops you from burning your hands!

hth xx

try doing only a few strips at a time, like one side of the front of the leg, then the other side after.

I keep my dial on half way!!

You may have the temp a bit low. xx

I had the same problem and now put the dial at 'twenty to' if that makes sense. Always check the wax on your wrist first but have always found it fine.

When you take the cartridge out of the heater you need to turn the cartridge upside and wait until you see 2 bubbles rise from the applicator end to the bottom of the cartridge, then it is ready to use hth
if you don't wait for the bubbles it will not roll onto the legs correctly and will cause you problems

hi everyone
im hoping this post goes okay as it's my first. I have been using clean & easy for 3years and have not had this problem. I only experienced the wax getting too cool with the green coloured cartridges.
In the past when removing the cartdrige i just used to wrap a fabric strip around it, i dont feel the need to do this now thou. With the b/l roller i put it in upsidedown. you do have to wait for the air bubbles to go before the wax properly comes out.

I agree with shellfish that you get used to holding hot cartridges after a while. Also, the only wax I had problems with, cooling too quickly, was the actual Clean & Easy wax.. once I tried other brands in the heater it never happened again.

How do ppl on here feel about heating clean and easy cartridges in hot water/microwave? I use a diff system at the moment but I want to use the mini c+e rollers for faces. What do you chaps think? Lx PS sorry if this isn't relevant?

I think it would be very difficult to get the temperature right and also it wouldn't look very professional. They do do a smaller unit which is quite a bit cheaper without the big leg rollers.
