ive heard that some have the nozzle vertical for tanning up and down, then change to horizontal, for spraying across,
then some have it at "twenty to two " position, and theres no need to change the adjuster

what are the benefits?

I have mine at 6o'clock and only ever spray up and down, never across.

6 o'clock for me too on most of the body - vertical.

3.15 for all horizontal spraying ... under bust, smile lines and sides of feet.

why do some have it at twenty to two,

Im confused- because I was trained to spray horizontal- just recieved my shadez machine yesterday and the booklet says to have gun vertical to spray horizontal! Have my first client tonight and dunno what way to set the machine!????

Every company has different methods they train based on their interpretation of achieving the ultimate tan.

If you've just been trained its best to stick with the routine you have been shown.
Once you gain some experience experiment with other methods until you find the one that suits your specific style,the equipment and solution you use.
So my advice for tonights first tan its to stick with the way you have been tought...make changes as your experience grows through experimentation.

Tape some lengths of couch roll to the inside of your tent and pretend you are spraying your client,
if you get thin lines then you need to change the position on your gun, you need to see quite a wide area of spray to know that when you spray your client you wont turn her into a zebra hth

I spray the same as most folk on here, 6 o'clock and 3:15 for under boobs and bum etc. According to the manual that came with my machine, the 'twenty to two' position is for circular sprays.

Give him plenty of wine..wait till he nods off...sneak up on him and wack him with your spraygun...
When he wakes up in the morning he wont know whats happend to him.

I guess your new to this by the sounds of your earlier posting and that you've only recently been trained.

It is always wise to spray some none paying customers first,hubby,friends and relatives etc just to get you into the swing of things...do these and then start spraying semi commercial with non family members..maybe charge a reduced "introduction rate"

Once you've done a few of these and your confidence level is up then go to a full commercial charge out rate.
