I have just been asked by my neice that her friend wants to know if I can tint her eyelashes either blue or purple? (she has bright red hair too!) I know you cant lighten lashes so would the blue tint on its own show up? I have never used the bleu on its own so I don't know

does anyone know if its possible?

Never tried it to be honest but I would be dubious about tinting them blue alone anyhow.

Why does she want them blue? If it is for a certain outfit/occasion then I would recommend that she wears blue mascara for which there is quite a few different ones available at the minute.

I have been asked to do this 2 weeks ago and it didnt really turn out that blue just a soft black .This was ok because she felt that the blue / black she had the time before was to hash for her

she is apparently a very way out wierd (not in a bad way) kinda person, she just wants to look different! like I say she has bright red hair and wears the most wierd and wonderful outfits.

I cant see blue tint making much difference alone tbh

I think it all depends on the natural colour of the lashes to begin with.

I have a tube of blue lash tint that I picked up once instead of Blue/black and its not even been opened... I haven't had anyone ask for blue alone as yet... but I have seen people with fair hair wearing blue mascara and it looks quite nice. So on the right colour of natural lash it could be a go'er!

Hmm, I'd be inclined to try it one day, and my lashes are pretty fair (when they're not tinted jet black lol).

It does work on very fair lashes. I did a client who's lashes weren't completely blonde, and the went a soft black but the tips were very blonde so they went very blue.......looked fab.

You cant get bright electric blue lash tint,the peroxide isnt strong enough to lift the colour of the lashes.
Its like colouring your hair with those crazy bright colours,you have to bleach the hair first for colour to take bright!
Dont even think about bleaching lashes!
Blue tint on its own takes grayish!

God no theres no way in the world I would do that, just imagine

I think the lady in question has dark lashes so there isnt any chance of the colour she desires, I think she will have to get the blue mascara

i could imagine if she was quite fair haired or blondey, then it might work? other wise get her down to Mac and get some funky coloured fake eyelashes or else the coloured masara

OMG electric blue mascara was brill in the 80's and they had matching eyeliner and you HAD to wear twilight teaser lipstick as well, it was Boots 17 I think.
Not that I remember, I was but a child
If it's gonna be popular again check if they are bringing it back?

I was into that boots 17 makeup too but used to wear the iced champink lipstick! God I loved that colour!
