I have tried the Berins jet set on one of my hollywood ladies tonight - 13-08-08, 08:24 PM

Hi guys, firstly can i just say a great big thank you to colin for sending me some and how quickly i received it

Ok normally i use perron Rigot euro blonde, but as i had one of my ladies for a Hollywood, i thought i would use the oportunity to let you know what i thought and my lady thought.

On application it dried in literally seconds, so was no waiting whatsoever It also is of a thinner consistency than the euro blonde, so went further which was brill for my lady( As kim say's twist twist twist, otherwise lady ends up with wax on her, more runny than euro blonde).

The hairs come out amazingly and the skin felt amazing, infact i think my lady was getting a bit worried cos i could not stop feeling it.

Ok down sides that i found to this wax - you had to move quick as it starts drying as soon as u remove from pot, and if you do not apply it at the same consisteny, ie u have slightly thinner areas it snaps off.

Also i found that it left little bits of wax behind and with out faffing with my lady could not get them off for love nor money( oil did not work for removing this) .
I found that if i applied a few differant techniques that allot of these faults can be rectified, ie snappin in certain areas. I am hopeing that some one who uses this wax can tell me were i was going wrong as i really did like this product, and the fact it goes further.

My clients opinion, she said she loved the finish, she felt that the finish was smoother and there was no hairs left so did not even need the tweezers for the odd one, which made her smile. The treatment was done quicker (she wanted a fag lol) She said it did not hurt at all and did a little bit the last time. I asked her which she preffered and her reply was, the two mixed together, but she said it is a new wax and may be if i play with it a bit more it will be perfect, and uh do i get 10 percent off with me being a guiney pig.
So over to u guys, and u berins experts to give me a few tips, i shall personally be buying anouther wax pot and incoperating the two euro blonde and jet set, but if u can fix my teething problems then berins here i comexxx

Was it the Jetset or Berins Blue you used?

I am glad you found your first experience of using the Berins a successful one ... it seems by what you say that you were almost application perfect. To avoid breakages and having to do lots of clean up afterwards.. make sure the strip is consistent and the sides are even with each strip you lay down, it is thinner as you have seen, but it still needs a nice edge and end. As with the EB you can add to the wax too.. so if you have got a thinner side or end.. just add too it to make it a perfect strip. Make sure you also apply the oil under.. this will help with clean up too.... and I find the easiest way of getting any little bits of wax left behind is to use a freshly removed strip and turn it over to its shiny side.. and press down on to the bits.. this picks them up lovely.

The other way is to use a little pre cleanser then oil, this then gets every last bit off.

Good luck with ironing out any promlems.. like any new system it takes a little time to adjust.

HTH

The Jetset would be fine doing the nasel hair, add the tiniest amount of oil and maybe blot then use just like you have been used to but make sure its not too thick.. The Blue will be perfect for this too.

Jen,
I have switched from Lycon to Perron Rigot and am awaiting my order of Berins.
I know perron rigot and Berins are meant to be similar, but I have had alot of difficulty changing from Lycon.
The both use oil, but Lycon goes on super thick. I'm really trying to get the euroblonde on thin but its just not clicking for me. Also it leaves the skin slightly 'chicken skin' like.
I really really want to start using Berins and love it. So what tips can you give me?
Will there be training at the show in Manchester?
Thanks!

Hi ellenwaxer, u really will not have aproblem with the jetset applying it thin or leaving a plucked chicken effect hun, but u will need to try and apply thicker lol. U will need to alter your technique a little in regards to consistency but it will help u out no end, and your client will not have to wait about with bum in air cos the wax aint setting. Mind if i keep having these little bits left over she will spend that time in the bath lol washing it off xxx

No, but I will be doing demos all dang long and teaching as I go, so please feel free to come by and hang out! Little bits left over from any hard wax is simply due to the edges not being even or thinned out too much.

I tried the jet set last night also but i can't sing it's praises as much as Jenny unfortunately.

My hubby kindly let me loose on him, I did one side Jet Set & one side Euroblonde. He felt that the jet set side was sorer, i also experienced the brittleness of it, it just wasn't up to his thick werewolf hair even making it a little thicker. It did set really fast however so i would probably still use it on a roasting day for my hollywoods!

And i noticed it comes in a 500g bag and euroblonde in a 800g bag so could work out more expensive in the long run.

The extra pain could have been caused with hubby having a weaker side of his body as has been discussed in previous threads so not necessarily a fault of the wax though.

I have no possible excuse for it being no match for his hair though as Euroblonde was fine and it was roasting in my room so shouldn't have been as brittle.

I'll have to keep using it to see if you get more for your money through thinner consistensy but just thought i'd let everyone know my unbiased findings.

Can't wait to try the blue and the ease now

x

Hey guys, do any of you know anyone in the west sussex, brighton/worthing area that specialises in female intimate waxing? pref hollywood. I use hot wax on my clients, but I would prefer to have someone wax me than try and do it myself!
Thanks guys

Hi pink potions, when u say your hubby was sorer hun, was that during tratment hun or later on. I tried a patch on my arm first and then on my ladies leg ( a bit she missed shaving lol) and the hairs come out brill. I did experience the snappin off like your self, but found that it was due to thinner areas in the strip. Did u feel it was the same in that context or just brittle hun. xxx

Ps my bag was smaller but assumed that was because it was a sample. Whats the price difference between the two do u no babe

No i just found it brittle my strips were perfect (It is easier to get a perfect strip with the jet set) The wax was fine on my arms removed every hair but on my hubby's arm pits it just snapped possibly because of the strength of his hairs but i've never experienced this with euroblonde. It was sorer after the waxing apparantly although he could just be a big wimp i dunno i have no way of proving his pain.

I'm going to check tonight when i see him again and see if there is any redness still as he normally reacts quite bad with waxing and stays red for about 48hrs.

I'm just trying to give my honest opinion on the waxes i'll comment on the blue and ease once i've tried it, but i've heard these two waxes are miles better than the jet set.

I'll keep you posted when i check him tonight x

I've deleted the prices to abide with site rules but it can be easily checked

xxx
