Rollers - help! - 05-09-08, 11:23 AM

Help me geeks - I'm off to a wedding and want to do my hair in a sort of 50's style to go with my dress - side parting and waved. Like Reese Witherspoon at the beginning of Walk the Line but I can't find any pics of her with that style so I hope my description is good enough!
My hair is about an inch below my collarbone and quite wavy anyway and I was going to have a go with my tongs, but I'm tempted to do it with rollers instead. My hair is very "abundant" and tends to curl quite easily so I don't want to spend £££ on heated rollers if velcro ones would do just as well?

Any advice gratefully received!
