08-09-08, 10:11 PM
Hi, I wondered if anyone knew anything about this treatment i.e if you have tried it, trained in it... and any other info please.
Im not sure if you need a full qualificatiion in Accupuncture first before specialising in the facial. Thank you x |

Do you mean accupressure massage (using fingertips) or actual accupuncture using needles? The training for this takes a number of years I think, but if you mean accupressure - I learnt a routine during a facial course I was on and also part of my indian head massage course - its a great treatment and all my clients love it.

Facial Acupuncture -
10-09-08, 06:02 PM
Hi. Im a qualified acupuncturist and I also have a qualification in facial acupuncture or facial revitalisation acupuncture. This form of treatment envolves treating the patient holisticaly as well as on the face and you must be a qualified acupuncturist. It takes 3-4 years to qualify and is a degree course.
Facial revitalisation is a very effective treatment for lines, drooping skin, skin tone, and scarring. |

I worked with an acupuncturist and the course was an added extra once you qualifiied.
Its a lengthy and expensive process to train. I have done an auricular acupuncture course so can place 5 needles in each ear to help detox and destress. That was a 5 day course. |
