Correct Insurance for Intimate Hair Removal - 29-09-08, 09:23 PM

I am compelled to write on here regarding Insurance. I have heard horror stories of late and want to advise anyone out there who does Hollywoods, Brazilians and Butt Sack and Crack. Regarding all Intimate Hair Removal be it sugar or wax. There are many out there carrying out these treatments and they have not got the correct insurance. Not the fault of therapists. I feel many are being wrongly advised by the insurance company or broker. The real big companies, are just as bad. Please email me for any informtion. Please check the small print and your policy wording on the certificate that you place on your wall. It is a mine field I know. Be carefull and CHECK. Email me with any questions. I was lucky enough to have found a company when I started sugaring "down there". They have been brilliant. Fortis Insurance will cover you as long as you have been doing it for 6 months plus. email is sugarflick@gmail.com. Regards Fee

The qualifications required to insure therapists for intimate waxing vary from company to company. Some require a specific qualification in this ares, whilst others only ask for a general waxing qualification.

To be absolutely sure, ring your insurance company to find out what they require you to have.

I am insured under general waxing on my insurance. I did get a certification off BABTAC in it for insurance purposes in case things change however when I got my certificate it said not for insurance purposes doh!

I teach and give certificates however there is a grey area over the subject!

If your not insured then change insurance companies!

Sugaring Insurance - 30-09-08, 09:46 PM

There is alot more insurance for waxing than for sugaring and this has brought up many issues of late for some therapists. I am lucky enough to have experience and been trained in both although I always use Sugar, we use Sukar and Zahra sugar pastes. Again as the Guild has stated today, CHECK with your insurance company. So all you waxing and sugaring people, get calling and have peace of mind.
