Hi there
Congratulations on taking the plunge on running your own business. It can be an exciting but daunting experience. I can very much relate to how you must be feeling as I ran my own business up until 2 years ago when I sold it. Well you need to work closely with your the hair salon owner - think about package promotions that include hair as well as beauty see if you can help each other - I use to do make-up, nail extensions, tanning etc for summer balls/prom nights etc - offer to do manicures whilst hair clients are having their hair coloured. Always take your clients email address so that you can send out email promotions - much cheaper than having flyers printed - clients will love it. You also need to look at a database to record client information - especially if you are employing other staff - we offer software that has a customer database, online diary (so your clients can book appointments off your website without having to call you), sms appointment reminders and lots more. If you want to have a free trial of it to see if you like it just let me know and I will send you the link. Why not have a look at our website on
www.icomplete.com which will explain more - go into the health and beauty section and click on beauty salons for more info. Good luck with your new venture.
Claire
