Hi Sherrie
The same thing was happening to me, I emailed Ruth about it. I thought it was my computer. I click on the link at the top left now, inbetween the Links & Quick Links up there - hope I'm making some sense LOL.Karen |

ive noticed this too
sometimes you'll log on and it will say there are 140 odd new posts and maybe an hour later there will be only 5 is there a time or size/amount limit on the posts that come up as a new post?? i used to check the 'todays post' section quite a lot b4 the site update as i found you could check all the new posts and wouldnt miss any from that day i miss the todays post section- altho i do like the fact that you dont have to go back to the home page to check the new posts each time Jess xox |

I think the reason you start with loads of posts then later it says theres only a few is because it only counts the ones since you last logged on, not all the ones you didnt read from earlier. I used to like the read todays posts too! x

Your wish is my... um... request?!?
I was kind of missing the damn thing myself so I put it back up. As far as the New Posts thing goes... It is since your last login. If you leave are logged in but do not bring up a new page for a time (I think its about 20 minutes) then the site considers you to be logged off. Next time you come on, it will give you new posts since that last time. As far as automatically logging you off... this usually happens if you jump between domain names, have a cookie problem, or if there is a subtle bug appearing somewhere. Otherwise it would happen virtually every time. Hope this helps |

Thanks Sam, I wasnt logging off, I have this site saved in my favourites and i always come on that way, straight onto home page and i get welcomed back etc, shows that there are new posts but wont let me view them? This time though i tried the 'last 24 hours' link and it let me do that no problem so hopefully that will be ok..... thanks anyway x

Sadly, no. The key reason is that the system would have to keep track of which threads were read and the last time they were read for each member!
That means, the system would have to (currently) track over 26,000,000 entries. That would slow the system to a crawl. Bit of a pain I know. |

I know that the new posts since last visit has gone and there is a New Posts thing at the top of the screen, but is there any way you can get posts in last 24 hours, because sometimes when I just flip through, I miss posts?
