Hi Sean, sorry can't help on the technical stuff, but it has raised another question for me. I never log off when I leave Geek, is that okay, or should I log off at the end of my geeking sessions.
I can only guess that as you weren't logged on you came in more like a visitor, and so it wouldn't send your message. I have written a message, gone to look for a link and then come back to the message to find it all gone, so guess that once you come out of your message it doesn't save it. I know clutching at straws!! |

If you did not have 'remember me' ticked and exceeded the timeout (set to 15 minutes I think) then your session would have expired.
Bit of a bummer. The text can get wiped moving from page to page (especially with the wysiwyg editor). One way to avoid it is to preview your PM every 5-10 minutes to refresh your cookies. You should only have to worry about logging off the site if: a- you are on a publicly accessible computer b- you share the site with others on the same computer HTH's |

One tip l found that works for myself, when l'm typing a reply and l have to leave the page to check something or get a web address to make a link etc, b4 you leave the page go to edit at the top and click copy when you return click paste and you won't have to retype everything, l hope that make sense and is of any help! xx
