be aware of copyright -
02-11-09, 10:50 AM
All good stuff just be aware of copyright stuff ie check noone else has your names you use ie 2 salons have taken some of mine, even word for word off my site, I did not do anything with one, but she still uses 3 of my treatment names and has also copies Axiom, but one was so blatant, I threatened legal action and she withdrew it, but I was flattered, I guess that they felt I was good enough to be copied. Contact me, I maybe able to help with any ideas...sugarflick@gmail.com, Fee

Just to add there are so many words we cannot copyright, but when used in certain contexts one has some rights. But it is such a minefield, I have to say.

Good point, some men won't come to certain types of salon for treatments which is why I am looking for a place where men won't be bothered at all.
I imagine treatment names won't make any difference. Marketing wise, some names and slogans out there are bloody brilliant. They encourage conversations and debate and ppl remember them if they have discussed them, which means they remember you! But if they have to walk past giggling women, an open atmosphere etc, it won't make them book with you. My salon entrance is too intimidating for some men. I rent a room in the basement so have no choice. Quote:
