I would say it all depends on the type of heaters you have and how effective your insulation is in the salon.
I have those elecrtic wall heaters conected to a thermostat and my elecrtic bill last winter nearly put me out of business..my winter bill was £600 more than my summer bill and the only difference was the heating. This winter I have 2 new calour gas heaters...you will have to pull my fingrnails out before I put those wall heaters on again

Oh where i worked before we had the electric ones and it was very costly...i have hap central heating the building is new and very well insulated (both my boyfriend and step dad commented on this when drilling into the walls) obviously i don't wanna have to ever have it on! At the moment i'm only heating the rooms being used on certain days, got the heating on low, but find some days that i've got it on from 9 til 3. I'm a bit of a planner and i'm finding it frustrating not knowing what the bill will be until it thuds on the floor...Eek. X

I had the same problem last year. I was scared to put the heating on as my premises are quite big and i have warm air heating. I was absolutely dreading the bill! When i had it all serviced i asked the gas man how much they cost to run and he had no idea. My heating system as a huge thing in the loft. Well i had to have the heating on as i couldn't have the clients being cold.
The good thing about my system is it heats up really quick but i still had it on a lot. When the bill came i was actually pleasantly surprised! It didn't cost half as much as i was expecting so i thought i'll be ok this year. Trouble is gas prices have shot up so i'll probably still be dreading the bill-lol |

I have a room i was gonna rent out when i first started In the salon and noone wanted it and i just thought what a dream it would be to know all your rent and bills etc will be the same price every month and you can budget for it...we had a bad bill over summer at home so thats why i'm worried too. But at the end of the day clients need to be warm...at home you can just sit under the duvet!x
