EasyDry Towels - 05-11-09, 06:51 PM

Home

Does anyone use these? Anyone any thoughts on them? Initially they seem expensive when you look at the box cost, but at 10p for a manicture and 17p for a hairdressing towel they aren't that bad as part of a treatment cost.

They seem to advertise in Guild News quite regularly and I believe other trade press.

Yes we use them for all of our towels. We get the large black bath sheets for body treatments, black hand towels for waxing and small white beauty towels for manicures.

They are expensive but they save a lot of hassle and clients like that they are ultra hygenic. It also saves a lot of time washing, drying, folding towels so they are good for when you are busy.

They will send you a sample pack for you to try if you call up and ask.

I use them, they are fab, and its saving my dragging all my towels home and spending my day off washing!

And they are biodegradable too which is even better.

If you weigh up your cost of washing/drying and your time I think you will find these a cost saver.

Ok I received my sample pack in the post today ... I have to say I really like them! They feel lovely and soft, are very strong and super absorbant. I'm just checking them out in my mini-fridge and hot towel cabinet but will be ordering a box this week!!

The boxes can be broken down as you want or you can even order just a bag of 50 towels (though this is much more expensive per unit).

For example I am ordering (£172.50 inv VAT):
500 Hair towels (80cm x 43cm) - 19p per towel
100 Bath towels (135 x 76) - 58p per towel
400 Gents towels (45cm x 33cm) - 7p per towel

Each washing machine load currently takes 4 hours to wash and dry! That costs either £1.24p per wash or £0.68p per wash including detergent (depends on when in the quarter the wash is as electricity is more expensive for the first so many units).

I found that if you put them in a hot towel cabi they dry out much quicker than traditional towels so you might want to just heat up enough for one treatment at a time.
