Confused with which way to go!!!! -
31-08-10, 12:17 PM
I've recently qualified in mani and pedi and don't know which way to take it!
I'd like to set up my own mobile business and have made moves to start it but I don't know whether to do make up, so I can provide services like weddings etc where I go round and do their nails and make up for the big day, or do minx cos they look pretty good, or go artificial (gel or acrylics?). Hopefully one day I'll be able to do all of them but until I start earning money I'm going to need to stay more focused on one or the other. Just wondered if any of you have got any advice on this, are falsies still the money maker?! |

If it's bridal you are interested in, then both would be something you should do. Most people want nail enhancements to change they way their hands look, a lucky few will have nice natural nails to work on, in that case an nice french polish/manicure is fab, but I don't think the majority have nails like this, and so for their big day choose some type on enhancement, this could be done a day or so before, and if you were to do make up also, you could travel to them to make up on the day of the wedding, the hard thing to decide is what order to do them in lol, learningnail enhancements take a lot of practice, not saying make up isn't hard though, if I was to choose, I would do a foundation course in either L&P ro Gel first then do make up, I am off to do my make up in a few weeks, looking forwards to it, hth and good luck with your decision xx

Thanks for that, I think I'm going for acrylics after your response, I think your right, and once the money starts coming in from that I can go and do the make up. I'll let you know how it goes. Good luck to you too!
