Most important stuff is the really boring stuff - the legal type stuff! Health & Safety At Work, Data Protection, Music / Public Performance Rights, Insurance etc.

Then good therapists, good design, good products, good treatments, good customer services.

Along with the above I would say...

If you are going to take on employees then I would say staff and training. Your staff are your bottom line; choose a team with different skill sets and backgrounds. With good training this will create creativity, innovation and productivity.

Make training an important part of your business whether it is internal or external; this could be anything from treatments, customer care, sales techniques, visual merchandising, e-marketing, reception duties and flyer distribution. Keep your staff motivated and micro-manage your team to ensure productivity in their delegated areas.
