06-04-11, 09:23 PM
hiya ladies,
I may run the risk of sounding a bit thick here but i need to know this.. I am very new to beauty , just turned the big 40, youngest about to start school and for the first time ever doing something for me ( and just LOVING it I realise this must sound SUCH a stupid question but sometimes its these ones we are too embarrassed to ask My web site is www.simplybeautiful.uk.com i have an icon saying "why Sienna X" at the top that im about to take off as im now going to offer a second product solution also .. Very nervous to ask your opinions but i guess its time... Thanku |

Hi Jo, no question is stupid so stop worrying! We are all here to help & share information as and when we can.
![]() Think of your logo as your very own brand, it will be how your clients recognise you. My logo is on everything, price lists, website, loyalty cards etc. If you're using one from Vistaprint remember it wont be exclusively yours and unique to your company, it is more than likely someone else will be using it too. I personally think it's better to have your own logo and once you've got it you can go on to market your business in the same format as opposed to being limited to what Vistaprint has to offer. If you're thinking about having one designed I'd highly recommend Carl @ Verve (Extensionize on here), VERY reasonable, VERY professional & the best bit.....once it's done it is ALL yours & NO-ONE will have the same one! Wishing you lots of luck with your new venture! HTH's x |

I looked at your website and its very clear and concise.
I don't like the music coming on, but that's just something that really irritates me and you do have an off button! And I don't like the way the page fades - it makes my eyes go weird. Otherwise very nice |

I agree with above, I cant comment on the music as I have my sound turned off until I want it, but the fading really hurts my eyes too.
Otherwise a lovely site. What do you use as your body exfoliant-if you dont mind me asking? x |

i don't like music on websites either. my bf thought it was an 80s beauty website! god knows what 80s music he's been listening to :\
'specials offers' heading doesn't make sense. change 'my treatments' into just 'treatments' or 'treatment menu' etc etc. i don't like the grey back ground box things that have the writing in. just have your writing on a plain background, not in a different coloured box. the green that comes up when you click on headings is just a horrible yucky colour that doesn't seem to fit in? the fading backgrounds i'd consider changing too. march/april offer needs to be updated because we aren't in march. keep your website up to date so clients know you're still available. nothing worse than seeing a website that doesn't get updated and wondering if you should phone up and ask if the person/business is still alive or not. have another look over your punctuation as there are lots of '...' going on that just don't need to be there. the 'faq' page literally had me squinting at the screen, i don't know if it's my colours or what but it just wasn't clear at all. i couldn't see your working/opening hours, if they are on the website and i missed them then is a potential client going to miss them too? it's nice to know who will be giving you your treatment so maybe consider a picture and an 'about me' type page. mention your insurance too, it just puts that extra bit of confidence in you and your treatments. x |

Is this a Free website, as I see you have an unusual domain ending in .uk.com, or did you purchase the name yourself? |
