How to enter higher position jobs in beauty? - 31-12-11, 02:02 PM

I've been in the beauty industry for the past 11 years and I'm a tutor at a college and also doing some mobile beauty.
I've been applying for account manager jobs, area manager jobs, product trainer jobs etc but never heard anything back.
Companies want people with experience but how do I get the experience of the jobs above if nobody wants to give me a chance/opportunity?

Any advice on the subject?

Thank you.

A lot of retail places I've been at work ur way up, so try going in for a senior or manager job, then apply for area manager etc... But that way I have no idea how long it would take. That or try for new companies opening up, but again there may be many ppl out there with experience who lost there jobs . But keep trying! A quitter never wins and a winner never quits xoxo

What are your qualifications? I get any job I apply for because I am highly qualified for my area as well as experienced for my age. I am also nearly finished a business degree which not only impresses people but helps with my skills on CV writing etc.

Finally ... first interview is behind me for a role of an account manager in London's department store.
Do you know what sort of wages I can expect to be offered on the second interview?

I have NVQ L2and3, Teacher Training, I'm currently teaching ITEC.

Thank you.
