First craft fair - 18-07-12, 01:58 PM

I have just been offered a space at a craft fair next Wednesday so now planning what to do!
Im going to do a free demo of Minx, just one finger with the rest painted so I don't use a lot of product for free treatments.
What else can I offer for free?!
Also any tips, things to take use etv?xx

Are you not allowed to charge? I personally wouldn't do it for free hon but thats down to you. Minx is expensive to replace...

but if you wanna keep costs down, file and polish or mini manicure (so cuticle work, hand/arm massage and a buff).

I am going to be at a care home local to me on teh 4th of August and I will be doing mini mani's, file and polish and back/neck shoulder massage but I'll be charging for the treats. The money for the treats will go to the care home but if i sell gift packs/gift vouchers then that comes to me.

Take business cards, price lists and gift vouchers to sell. Also look for a thread on the main forum pages called ways to promote your business, full of fantastic ideas! You can also put together a wee beauty hamper or something and do a raffle
Hope this helps?

So I'm thinking, do a raffle for a gift set & to get a free file&polish they have to purchase a strip of tickets? Minx (ring finger&paint) £3?

20% vouchers, business cards, price lists, mini Opi's to sell & a digital frame displaying my work.
Sound alright?x

That sounds ok to me.

i was planning on charging £3 for a file and polish, £3 for the mini mani and if i can do back/neck /shoulder massage £10. But i was putting together wee gift bags to sell. I never thought of offering a free file and polish with the gift bags but like I said I wanted to give the care home the money from treats and keep what I sold from teh gift bags.

Then again, I could do a wee raffle with the gift bags as well.

I was going to make up 25 bags using these I found on ebay:

25 Clear Block Bottom Cellophane Gift Bags with Cardboard Base - 100mm x 220mm | eBay

In the bag I was going to put in the new price lists, a business card a voucher for X amount off or a gift voucher then put in a wee nail file, a mini hand lotion or cuticle oil and some skincare samples (maybe 3 per bag). make it look pretty with some tissue paper and ribbon and put a sticker with my contact info on the front

If I knew for defo that it was going to be an indoor fete I'd take my Minx with me (doing the training next week) but it may be outdoors depending on the weather....
