Unpaid work - 23-07-12, 01:38 PM

Hello everyone

I am a trained beauty therapist but have been out the industry for a while.

I likely to get a unpaid job (few hours a week) in exchange for a bit of training by other therapists within
that salon

Hi there Pea head!!
I would ask if there is a possibility of getting a paid job after a period of time, what length of time that may be if things go well! you do not want to work for free forever and I would want to work towards a clear goal if I were to do this. x

If it was me in your shoes, I would prefer a paid job but if that was not possible then yes, I think there is value in getting some work experience.

When I did work experience I spent most of my time answering the phone and tidying but it was still constructive in the sense that I got a feel for the salon environment and it showed that I was enthusiastic to people who I applied to for employment at a later date.
