I particularly like the description of the brazilian waxing section, are these names you have made up or is it a known description?

May I suggest you also add a section for Testimonials from your clients.

Jenny, your website is great but I still think you need to sort out your waxing menu - it's so complicated!

I personally don't like those made up expressions for intimate waxing, but if you must use them, I would really recommend you choose words that all come from the same genre, i.e. Venus is a mythical Greek Goddess, so why not choose all Greek Goddess names(?) rather than use, say Avalon which although may be mythical, it is from Arthurian legend, or Cleopatra which is Eygyptian and and not mythical... ?

You need to look at it from a potential clients point of view, I think it is too detailed.

I agree. I'm only a wax consumer but I cant stand all this nonsense about changing the names it is what it is. Also I'm not sure its ever crossed my mind to book a butt wax only - who does this? who has time? The menu could be simplified you seem to have alot of extra's or add ons listed as services. Could you not group these small things together? when I was a manager it was quite acceptable for people to book in for lip/chin/side of face with another service or all three with another service. they all can cost €6 ea so all together would be no more than your full face - does this make sense?
You are a wax specialist so you do everything to do with waxing and your clients know this so just try and make it look appealing.

Am thinking of changing the names to Luna, Freya and Isis (although not sure in what order yet) - as well as being an eclectic mythological mix, they are also the names of 3 of our cats - and am sure there is a silly joke in there somewhere - although putting an image of a Sphinx cat on the intimate waxing page would probably be taking it a step too far lol...

I renamed the intimate waxing names, as some were the same as Kim's site and we wanted to be different and not just plagiarise Kim's names. But I may yet change the names again. They were Ibiza, Dubai and Egyptian originally...

Why is it ok to have comprehensive prices lists when it comes to services such as nail treatments but when its waxing its too complicated??

Jenny's price list isn't complicated at all.

It is split into 4 main areas and then each service is listed.

It is a specialist waxing studio so why not have a detailled service menu that will cater to all clients' needs??

If your post is aimed at me, then frankly I have no idea what your problem is. I am merely trying to be helpful and giving my honest opinion.

Normally waxing is one section of a beauty pricelist. And tbh, Jenny's business is not a specialist waxing studio at all, if you take a look at the services offered then you will see that she offers mani, pedi, massage, facials, nail ext, brow & lash, minx, popits, you name it!

And in my humble opinion, if I were to ask for advice on this forum, I would welcome advice from geeks who do actually operate a successful business. It is hardly surprising that so many intelligent, successful, experienced geeks seem to have disappeared off the face of the planet.

At no point have I said I had a problem, I was simply asking why she shouldn't have a detailled list of prices.

This is from her website home page -

It is perfectly acceptable for someone to have a treatment they specialise in and therefore want to have the focus on the treatment and yet offer other treatments aswell.

It may be 'normal' to have one section of a price list dedicated to each treatment but maybe Jenny doesn't want to be 'normal'! She may actually want to set herself out from the crowd as this can often draw a potential clients attention.

As far as I can see Jenny has done nothing but welcome all comments she has received regarding her website.

Overall I really like the website and they way everything is set out, easy to navigate etc

The only thing I would say is why is there only a price list for waxing and not the other treatments (unless im being thick and have missed it!)

I do agree to a certain extent what others have said about the names for waxing mainly as I actually think it can be confusing for clients and other therapists. I don't do intimate waxing but can't tell you how many clients have said do you do hollywood, brazilian, playboy etc etc and all of them have a different description of it. If we all sang off the same hymn sheet there would be a hell of a lot less confusion I think !!

Also I wonder if it is necessary to have so many different bits of leg/arm waxes ? If my client wants half leg wax top/bottom its the same price regardless and it saves space on price list.

Anyway this is just my opinion from a clients point of view, I do like a detailed price list but I think sometimes if there is to much info clients tend to loose interest.

Thank u for your opinion, but i am sorry i will have to disagree hun, i do offer waxing as a specelist servise and if i am honest waxing is my bread and butter. My peds and man are my add on's so to speak. Because i am asked for these treatments i provide my clients with them, if i could only offer waxing i would, but business is business and if the client wants it they get it
My waxing list is written in this way because i have an awful lot of ladies that ask for these services, and often as i have found u end up doing these treatments for free. ( many waxing geeks on this forum also provide such a formative list, and have add on's)
Allot of therapist that do not specielise in a specific treatment just advertise bikini waxing and no matter how much they take off they still only charge that price. Or a client will say could u just wax my toes or my feet or could you just wax my tummy and it all ends up one price. By showing the prices in this way it shows women that have problems in specific area that it is normal but also helps me and the client on what to expect in regards to cost of there treatment.
You have mentioned the bottom waxing and why any one would just have this treatment, hun many do, either because they just are consiouse or they have ovariaon cists and all sorts, and they do not like to ask , ummm, could u wax my bottom or could, they preffer to use other words that my client understands and i do. Can you imagine being at work, office full of staff and when u had a spare five minutes ringing your therapist to book in for a butt crack wax, i don't think so. So on this one i will have to disagree chicxxx
