hi there i am renting 3 treatment rooms above a hair salon from the 29th october i would just like abit of advice and help on what to do.
i have my professional beauty insurance, i have my advertising material and products and i also have some clients which i am going to write too.
i would appreciate any other help and advice on what else i need to do, i just have so much to do in so little time. thank you any help would do.

What do you think you should do? There is lots of info on here you just have to search for it - I'm not sure what your asking thats prob why noone has responded.

Congratulations on taking the plunge on running your own business. It can be an exciting but daunting experience. I can very much relate to how you must be feeling as I ran my own business up until 2 years ago when I sold it. Well you need to work closely with your the hair salon owner - think about package promotions that include hair as well as beauty see if you can help each other - I use to do make-up, nail extensions, tanning etc for summer balls/prom nights etc - offer to do manicures whilst hair clients are having their hair coloured. Always take your clients email address so that you can send out email promotions - much cheaper than having flyers printed - clients will love it. You also need to look at a database to record client information - especially if you are employing other staff - we offer software that has a customer database, online diary (so your clients can book appointments off your website without having to call you), sms appointment reminders and lots more. Have you registered as self employed yet,
if not all you do is phone your local tax office and tell them the situation and your start date and they will help you every step of the way,
you also need to contact your local council and inform them you are renting space in the hairdressers so that you get the full discount on business rates hth
