Hi I have often noticed on here that people sometimes have a run on input - as well as many others I remember Collin and Martin Duffy give very similar business advice and what about Kim (and others) who are so generous, giving loads of tips. It is a nice environment to know that we can share and help out when we can. I have often helped out people but quietly and do not feel I am owed anything as I have got plenty of help in return even If I do not ask very often!

Calla hun, so sorry u feel like this. I have not been on for a while as been quite poorly, and what with clients and the children it has been one roller coaster.
U along with many on this forum bring soooo much to this site and have been so genorouse with your ideas. I think at the moment so many of us have either lost the plot lol Why you ask ? because of the hard times that are hittinng us! the world wind of christmas coming and pressys to buy, childrens concerts and work does and sooo on. U however have plugged away trying to help, just incase that one person comes on who is having a hard time and thinks christ i will do that, why did i not think of it. They then probably wizzed off to implement it . Keep doing it hun and when all calms down, i for one will be pulling posts back up, were as at the min i am on another planet sooo to speak, just can't get off that bleadin roller coaster I love ya

People can thank members by giving reputation or by sending private messages.
PUBLIC thanks on the forums is actually against the site rules for the simple reason that posts that say 'thank you' would clog up all the threads as well as be very boring to read. Taking the time to say thank you is voluntary and very nice and polite of people and it makes my day when someone kindly says it to me ... but to post on the site DEMANDING recognition and public thanks for advice?? MY goodness ... I'm glad I don't have such a fragile ego. Maybe we can get back to the topic of the thread now. Anyone who wishes to give selflessly of their advice is invited to post away.

This is a great statement - avoiding recession mentality as I for one am drained by my clients and having to constantly keep upbeat as I'm sure we all are, I too cant stand coming on here and seeing professionals worrying and panicking when there is soo much good advice here.
We are in BUSINESS! so make like a dragon and get your thinking caps on instead of moaning and waiting to close down. I am a person who can afford any class I want to take - I pulled a rabbit out of a hat to get on my masters so I def will do the same when it comes to my business! JUST DO IT! |

I agree with you here - who said business was ever easy, but that's part of the fun of it! That aside, a number of my clients have commented how nice it is to go to a business where the owner isn't moaning about the recession & lack of business, which I'm sure translates into business (or lack of it).
