Cry Spray tan booth - 28-01-09, 11:37 AM

i have an ait tan automated booth. it needs repairing. i got a lead to try tan365. contacting them in aug/sept they finally come down in nov. they charged me 360 for a service and repair which states that on the invoice. i had to pay b4 they came down. they did not turn up on day arranged but turned up the next dat at bout 4.15. he spent no more than 30 mins on the machine he didnt even put the pressure correct. he then told me what part i needed nd said he didnt have it with him as he orders parts on demand. even though the excuse at times in the office was i understand its taking a while to get to u but we are waiting on parts. there is no point sending him down without vital parts. so i got a call 2 days later saying the part is 450 plus they require another 250 for the engineer. i said im not paying for the engineer as i have already paid for a fix and service and it was not carried out. they told me if i dont pay im not getting it fixed. basically i have been ripped. young female...ait tan in liquidation and they r taking advantage of the fact im stuck to get it repaired. i have went through trading standards and have now sent them 2 letters to which they have not replied. i would be very wary of this company. but im stuck in a situation of having my machine down and losing lots of money does anyone know of an engineer or has one of these booths who can help me with the settings on the back. many thanks

Is this an AIR TAN machine your referring to..if so yep they have gone bust ages ago and there are hundreds of machines scatted around the country in the same situation.

I am surprised that Tan 365 are being difficult as they are generally a good company...have you tried speaking with the owner Dave??

What a lot of salons have done with these machines is to strip them out and buy a hand held system and use the booth as a spray tan cubicle for the hand held system.

I can point you in the direction of a guy who was involved in the development process of the machine in the early days and he has a good working knowledge of possible fixes and or maybe knows someone local to you.

I don't want to give his number out over the boards however if you PM me I will be happy to pass his contact details onto you in private
Hoping this helps
