I just found time to read through the latest issue of Scratch magazine (Sept 07) when I came across Marian Newman's article titled 'Is the professional industry listening to the market?'. My interpretation of the article was that enhancement services are becoming less desirable while natural nail services are becoming more in demand. Knowing Marian, I am aware that this wasn't exactly what she was getting at, instead I believe that she was trying to challenge more professionals to be more pro-active...

A few weeks ago I created a lovely set of eyebrows on a lady who has had cancer but her hair had not started to grow back. Her daughter found out about me through a friend who had had a treatment from me, so she decided as a treat for her mum to send her along to me for a new set of brows. Well she came back to me on Monday for her top up. The last time I saw her she had no hair on her head, no brow hair or even lashes and was not particularly chatty or a happy person. At the time of writing this - we just toppled over the 18,000 member mark which is pretty freaking cool. However at the time of writing this, I also have a big dent in my desk which matches the one in my forehead. Obviously the two (the desk and my forehead) have been meeting one another in rapid succession over the past week.

War of the Report Buttons

Lately there has been much stupidity on the site that has been culminating into turrets syndrome with the 'Report Post' button.

The Report Post button is the pretty red one that used to always get mixed up with the reputation button. The purpose of the Report Post button is to help the moderator team identify posts that may be inappropriate. Instead it has become a tool for certain 'factions' to try and control what is being posted on the site.

People that refuse to follow manufacturers directions and then complain when things don't work drive me to drink.

Just got off the phone with an educator from another company wanting to return Shellac because it doesn't work. So I went through the wonderful process of troubleshooting & discovery.

After reviewing her purchases, I start with the obvious "What lamp are you using?"
