Well, I'm at the end of the first week and I have to say, it's been a good one.

I really like Year 3. No attitude, no hormones errupting. It's great. Of course this is only the firt week so who knows what will happen from here on in, but it's a great start.

I've got a few characters in my class. Two Lituanian boys who don't speak much English, but are very mischevious. Apparently I've got the most EAL children at early stages out of the three Year 3 classes, but thankfully...

Well, today is officially the last day of my summer holidays (all five weeks and three days - excluding the bank holiday of course!).

Back to school tomorrow - albeit a staff training day 9am - 3pm. but I really am looking forward to going back. I popped into school today as i was going to set up my classroom. Got as far as moving a few cupboards around and that's about it. I'll sort it all out after the training tomorrow. So I'll probably end up being there till about 6 or...

I thought I would put a specific heading for this entry, just so that individuals know what they're letting themselves in for if they decide to click on the link to my journal. I make no apologies for previous or future entries, comments, or prayers!

I have successfully completed my 24hr geek fast, and it was a challenge. I had a few emails to send today and there were times when I so wanted to just click on the 'nail geek' link but I managed to resist. It's funny cos at one point...

I've taken the decision to carry out a 24hr Geek fast.

Basically what this means is that I will deny myself the 'pleasure' of geeking for 24hrs.

Why? Well, as a Christian, God should be first and foremost in my life. But there are often times when other things take my attention away from the relationship I have with Him. Things that seem to hold my attention more than they should and start to become something of an 'obsession'.

I have to admit that 'geeking'...

I went to church this morning and at some point before service the nail on my ring finger (natural nail) got a little 'chip' in it; you know the kind that catches on everything. Only problem was, I didn't have a file on me to file it down!! Typical! I had everything else in my make-up bag (only comes out on a Sunday) but no file. Really annoying!

And I call myself a nail tech!!

Had few friends round for dinner after church, gave out one of my prototype leaflets. I need...
