I have to take my darling 86 year old daddy for a scan today at 1pm as he has been diagnosed with dementia but they are now looking for the cause i.e. alzheimer's .

As some of you will know from previous blogs so far I have been quite numb about the whole thing but today a strange anxiety is playing butterflies in my tummy

So to distract myself I have done L&P on my nails and had a play with colours and effects which I am loving. I have a feeling I will get...

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest

Following on from my blog about my father having dementia and having had a few lovely days away with Chris in Rutland where we had long discussions into the night, we have decided to put both my parents house and ours up for sale to buy a bigger house with an annex so I can look after them but still be able to work/teach.

We have seen a lovely house in Bodmin we all like ( even daddy said 'that would be nice') Just a case of getting the timing right now as we've not seen another...

My adorable father has been diagnosed with dementia. His short term memory is getting worse by the day but watching him go through tests at the doctors has made me realise how bad it's getting. He thought we are in June 2004 and does not remember the name of the town he lives in let alone the address.

The thing is I feel totally numbed by this.I should be upset or angry but am in a bit of a daze.I know I'm not in denial but this is so weird. Has anyone else felt like this?

Cornwall gave us a glorious day on Sunday during which I did my pedi on the beach, had yummy bbq lunch at sister in laws and then home to finish my dress a nail entry.

Monday was lovely too despite the rain. My step daughter Beth has started helping me at charity fairs.Whilst I do nail art and mini manicures she does glitter tattoos.I think she would make a great therapist but want her to finish her A levels before...
